The Vintage	The 2009 vintage, whilst excellent, was also a bumper crop for Chardonnay.
The Vineyard	An excellent harvest with cool conditions preceding vintage, and a warm dry ripening period.
The Winemaking	The 2009 vintage, whilst excellent, was also a bumper crop for Chardonnay. The fruit was whole The 2009 vintage, whilst excellent, was also a bumper crop for Chardonnay. The fruit was whole bunch pressed and roughly 50% fermented in tank, the remainder in 500L French oak barrels. Partial malolactic fermentation ensued and both components remained on their lees until bottling preparations began in December 2009. The wine was bottled in February 2010.
