Wine Makers Notes

The Vintage The Merlot was harvested on the 11th and 23rd February 2010 and the Syrah on the 22nd February 2010.
The Vineyard The grapes were harvested from selected West- facing Syrah and Merlot vineyards, 9 -11 years in age.
The Winemaking The grapes were destemmed and crushed where after they macerated on the skins for between 1 – 3 hours before being pressed. After settling for 2 days, the wine was racked and inoculated with local white wine yeasts.
